Core Treasury Operations
- Manage daily cash and liquidity positions across the company and affiliated entities, ensuring optimal fund availability and minimal idle cash.
- Develop and maintain short-, medium-, and long-term cash flow forecasts.
- Oversee banking relationships, bank account structures, and cash pooling/sweeping arrangements
- Initiate/manage working capital financing facilities (overdrafts, revolving credit, term loans) and/or MTLs and ensure covenant compliance.
- Monitor and hedge foreign exchange, interest rate, and commodity price exposures where applicable.
- Ensure treasury policies, controls, and SOPs are up to date and aligned with corporate governance standards and provide recommendations for further enhancements.Trade Finance
- Structure and manage trade finance instruments including letters of credit (LCs), bank guarantees, bills of exchange, and documentary collections for import of raw materials, machinery, and export of finished cement/clinker.
- Optimize trade finance costs and terms.
- Monitor trade finance exposure limits and ensure timely settlement of trade obligations.
- Evaluate and negotiate terms for pre-shipment and post-shipment financing where applicable.Intercompany / Cross-Group Financing
- Administer intercompany transfers, cash pooling, and cross-finance structures between the cement business and related industrial projects.
- Assess funding requirements of affiliated companies and structure appropriate financing (equity, debt, or hybrid instruments)
- Monitor intercompany balances and interest calculations
- Ensure financing structures comply with local regulatory, tax, and corporate governance requirementsRisk Management & Compliance
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks (liquidity, credit, market, and counterparty risk)
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, exchange control requirements, and internal audit/control frameworks.
- Maintain relationships with external stakeholders as needed for treasury matters.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field;
MBA, CFA, CTP (Certified Treasury Professional), or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- 8-12 years of progressive finance/treasury experience, ideally within manufacturing, industrial, or cement/heavy industry sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in trade finance instruments (LCs, guarantees, documentary collections).
- Experience managing intercompany financing structures across multiple entities or group companies.
- Familiarity with treasury management systems (TMS), ERP systems (SAP), and banking portals.
