Procurement Engineer

Manage the procurement lifecycle from purchase requisition to purchase order and final delivery.

Source, evaluate, and qualify suppliers and subcontractors for railroad and construction projects.

Procure materials for Railway track, signaling, telecom, overhead line, and infrastructure materials.

Conduct commercial evaluations, bid comparisons, and cost analyses to ensure competitive procurement.

Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and contractual conditions.

Coordinate closely with Engineering, Technical Office, Project Management, Planning, Cost Control, Finance, QA, HSE, Warehouse, and Logistics teams.

Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with project schedules, quality requirements, and contractual obligations.

Identify procurement risks and develop mitigation plans to avoid project delays.

Support value engineering initiatives and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or project requirements.

Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, governance procedures, and delegated authority matrix.

Prepare procurement plans, procurement status reports, supplier performance evaluations, and cost-saving reports.

Manage contract administration, variation orders, claims, and supplier disputes where applicable.

Maintain long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.

Experience supporting large-scale railway projects is highly preferred.
